Informed Consent

Informed Consent for Sports Activities offered at the 14th EuroSpeleo Forum 2022 – XI Spanish Speleology Congress, by the organiser the Confederation of Caving and Canyons (hereinafter CEC).

As registered in the 14th EuroSpeleo Forum 2022 – XI Spanish Congress of Speleology, I DECLARE that,

1.- I am aware that caving and its sports specialties such as cannon descent and canyoning, speleobuceo, etc., as well as their competitions, hereinafter “sports activity”, is a sport considered risky. I have been sufficiently informed and in understandable language about the characteristics of the activities in which I am going to participate and about the physical and mental conditions required for such participation. I understand that the activity I am going to carry out involves endangering the physical integrity, and even at risk of death, of me or third parties.

Therefore, I demonstrate that I am fully aware of the risks and dangers of the sports activity that I will voluntarily practice and that I am in full physical and mental faculties for its practice.

2.- I have been duly and sufficiently informed about the safety and prevention measures to be adopted in the realisation of sports activity, being my sole responsibility the technical and material suitability of my personal equipment as well as its maintenance and use adjusted to the manufacturer’s specifications.

3.- I lack any type of medical or psychological contraindication for the practice of sports activity, allergy or pre-existing pathology that could affect my sports performance or put at risk the practice, personal or third parties, of the sports activity in question.

4.- I have read, know and accept all the regulations applicable to sports activity that I will develop voluntarily, and specifically, the statutes and regulations of the Confederation of Caving and Canyons, as well as the state and regional regulations on Sport and the Environment. I also force myself to maintain my Sports License, Accident Insurance and RC in Caving of a Federation / Association integrated into the CEC and in force.

5.- I have been informed and accept in absolute agreement that the proposed activities are considered an initiative equally by each and every one of the participants being responsible for their own personal team, for the supervision and use of collective material, the adoption of concrete security measures, for being informed in advance regarding the weather conditions and alerts of fire, flood and wind of the 112 emergency website, as well as the conditions of access, return and realisation of sports activity.

For all these reasons, I consciously and voluntarily assume the risks of the activity and, consequently, I exempt the CEC from any liability for damage that it may suffer in the normal development of the activity.

DATA PROTECTION CLAUSE,

The data collected will be processed for communications related to the activities and services provided by the CEC to its partners. The data provided will be kept as long as the relationship is maintained or for the years necessary to comply with legal obligations. The data will not be transferred to third parties except in cases where there is a legal obligation. You have the right to obtain confirmation about whether your personal data is being processed in the CEC, therefore you have the right to access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, oppose or request its deletion when the data is no longer necessary.

The associate authorises the CEC to use its personal images, videos or voice for the sole purpose of publishing them on social networks or other media and will be kept until the associate requests their deletion. The data will not be transferred to a third country or international organisation. The associate has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether the CEC is processing his personal data in accordance with the Law and therefore has the right to access his personal data, rectify inaccurate data, oppose or request its deletion when the data is no longer necessary.
